Dr. Dre’s Chronic Re-Lit & from the Vault

Not sure how many of you are aware of this, Dr. Dre has released a re-mastered version of The Chronic, first dropped back in 1992. On the re-mastered version, I believe eight lost sessions will be featured, as well as the old stuff. This album actually dropped yesterday, and is already available on iTunes. The Chronic is what introduced Snoop Doggy Dogg into the public basically. You know it’s some ill shit.
Eminem In Soul Intent

I never knew this even occured. Eminem posted a link to this on his Facebook page. Basically Em was part of a three-man group and recorded tracks. This was way before he was even signed to Aftermath by Dre. All this happened way before Eminem was even heard about. The quality isn’t too good, hard to understand all the words.
Soul Intent Ft. Chaos Kid – Unrealistically Graphic
Soul Intent Ft. Chaos Kid – Artificial Flavour
Soul Intent Ft. Chaos Kid – Pooh Butt Day
Soul Intent Ft. Proof – Hammer Vs. Vanilla
America’s Most Wanted

Lil Wayne has dropped a few songs over the past few days. I decided to combine all three into one post. Wayne’s featured on the first song, which is also probably the best song out of the three. Wayne’s currently on tour, pretty exciting. Some friends of mine are going to be seeing him.
Shanell Ft. Lil Wayne – Play In My Band
Lil Wayne – She Wants Me
Lil Wayne – Major
Queen Latifah Ft. Mary J. Blige – “People”

Did not expect to see any Queen Latifah this month. It was rumoured that QL was making a return to the rap game back in 08′ and wanted to record another album. Nothing every picked up until now. The best part is, the album will be partially produced by Dr. Dre. All Hail The Queen II was a possible name, after All Hail The Queen which was QL’s first studio album back in 1989.
Wu-Tang Clan – Demo Tape (1992)

Pretty sick find on Kanye’s blog, this is the infamous Wu-Tang Clan’s original 1992 demo tape. It’s a bit hazy and hard to make out the words, but that’s the way old school rap is supposed to be, especially on a demo tape. Anyway, you might hear a couple songs you’re heard before, like “After the Laughter”, which was later released as “Tearz” (dope song). Check this out, this is classic.
More Unreleased Tupac!

So I’ve been mad busy this past week, and haven’t really gotten a chance to post lately. Sean and Alex have been keeping up with the new music, thankfully, but obviously missed a couple things. Speaking of Tupac’s new unreleased song, there’s a whole set of 15 unreleased songs that leaked. A lot of them you’ve heard in newer, post-death songs. It made me realize, for example with “N.I.G.G.A.” that Pac wasn’t that much of a hardcore rapper like the ’04 version with Jadakiss, but much more of like.. a smooth mellow rapper. Lol just check it out, you’ll know what I mean if you’ve heard the new one.
Unreleased: 2Pac Ft. Snoop Dogg – “If There’s A Cure (I Don’t Want It)

I am being dead serious here with this post. When Pac died in ’96 there were approximately 160 tracks that had been unreleased. It’s been a while, so I don’t really remember why the tracks weren’t released. Something to do with Suge Knight and Pac’s Mother. Some of these tracks will start being released for the public though. Not sure when, or how often. On the other hand, the track itself is pretty ill.
Naughty By Nature!

I tried to find a larger photo, best I could do. Anyways, something I did not expect to post this afternoon. New music from Naughty By Nature. These guys have been in the rap game since 1988. I’m talking associations with Queen Latifah, Pac, and Apache. This is one of two singles off their upcoming album Anthem Inc dropping whenever. The beginning is a bit weird, but just listen.
People Under The Stairs

People Under The Stairs practically define dope. They’ve made some high rated hip-hop since their first album release in ’98. The two b-boys have created some great vibes and beats in their time that stay consistently fresh throught all their songs. So if you haven’t heard of them by now, I really think you should check this out. They won’t dissapoint.
The People Under The Stairs – Keepin’ It Live
The People Under The Stairs – San Francisco Knights
The People Under The Stairs – Code Check
The People Under The Stairs – Jappy Jap
50 Cent – Forever King, track 8: Suicide Watch

New stuff from 50′s upcoming mixtape. This is track 8, and is based on Biggie’s “Suicidal Thoughts”. Not much to say, I liked the original more I think, but this one was better than I expected. Check it out. I included the original for comparison.
